Welcome to Diane… #29

There is a great conjunction occurring in time. Join Rosie, Adam and Bob as they look as one into episode 27 of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks, sometimes known as The Path to the Black Lodge. As the end nears and Time and Space approach conjunction, our theme is Unification.

Two bad men combine to make a horse. Billy Zane and a certain Miss Horne make a beast of two backs, and Major Briggs returns the secret history of the 20th century to the sight of God.

Each embedding contains the possibility of a dis-embedding, as something that was at a supposedly inferior ontological level threatens to climb up out of its subordinated position an claim equal status with the level above.

Welcome to Diane… #28

Join Rosie, Adam and Bob as they prepare for the end of Mark Frost and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks episode 26. Only a few chapters of our story remain, and it’s time to get set up for the final drama.

Our guy Dick Tremayne gives us a course in oleaginous oenology, Windy Mearle goes arts & crafts, and Bobby is caught callow by word of Mike and Nadine’s super-duper sex life (unload the filth of your minds in the comments below).

Discover the meaning of faded donuts, beauty’s pageantry, and the naughtiness of Mr. Lynch – all and only in Diane 28.

Plant no tree sooner than the vine.

Welcome to Diane… #27

Join Rosie, Adam and Mark as they gather to discuss episode 25 of Mark Frost and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, sometimes known as On the Wings of Love.

This week on Diane the team talks RRRRROMANCE as our characters seek the blissful union that only a bit of the old in and out can provide. Harry wakes in the arms of a Helmut Newton-style assassin! Gordon goes all Tex Avery over a certain small-town waitress! And Wind’n’Erl searches for his Queen of Hearts…

When love with one another so
Interinanimates two souls,
That abler soul, which thence doth flow,
Defects of loneliness controls.
We then, who are this new soul, know
Of what we are compos’d and made,
For th’ atomies of which we grow
Are souls, whom no change can invade.

Whether your a brand new Dianiac or long term Dianysian we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for listening to our regular rambles about the cult TV hit of 1990/2017! If you are into our nonsense then all the thanks and attention we need is a five star review on iTunes! Cheers love you!

Welcome to Diane… #26

Join Rosie, Adam and Bob as they pick at episode 24 of Mark Frost and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, also known as Wounds and Scars.

Dashing Dale Cooper’s game of give and take with Wyndham URL becomes antipositional as the tokens move from hand to hand: Thomas Eckhardt leaves a final piece of his being at the mill. Donna accepts a trinket from a dead doctor. And Dick Tremayne serves up a smorgasbord of quite exquisite fashions.

‘Tis the season to be giving, so let’s talk about The Gift!

*

What is striking, curious, is that this knot, like that, that I described as Borromean, you should now know why, is a support for thinking…That allows thinking to be written differently.

Ye merry gentlemen and gentlewomen! We here at team Diane would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and bestow upon you the finest boons of love (gold), peace (myrrh) and understanding (Frankenstein). Welcome to Diane… #25

This time on Diane the world of Mark Frost and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks feel alive with interior intelligence, as Rosie, Adam and Mark peer at episode 23, also known as The Condemned Woman, through the lens of ANIMISM.

A refreshed Benjamin Horne goes green, three angels find rapture in the lonely shore, and a beautiful woman gets eaten by the wood.

What is a drawer knob and, dear listener, what happened to Josie?

*

If the world is truly quantum animated, then there is an immense amount of invisible inner experience going on all around us that is presently inaccessible to humans, because our own inner lives are imprisoned inside a small quantum system, isolated deep in the meat of an animal brain.

We’re trying to make Diane the top Twin Peaks recap podcast that there is, the intrepid journeyer’s best companion through the woods. If we’ve been able to help you scale new heights of understanding and appreciation, please bless us with a five star review on iTunes and we will laugh together all the way into heaven.

It’s the links bit! Subscribe to Diane on iTunes (US or UK), and follow us on Twitter and Tumblr. New eps of Diane go up Wednesdays on Libsyn and get your listen and chat on here with the Mindless Ones.

Welcome to Diane… #24

SHE’S BACK! This week Rosie, Adam and Bob struggle to the end of the series’ rough patch, discussing the twenty-second episode of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks, sometimes called ‘Masters and Slaves’. The show we all love is here somewhere but it’s like a black film has grown over it.

This week on Diane then, we talk veils.

Windham Earle employs a surrogate, the mists at the Great Northern finally clear, and Evelyn mourns the passing of the wild ride. Work slowly and with care. Everything must be written in a steady, uncompromising hand.

*

In the Heaven World, we look at Reality minus two veils. If I have in my Heaven World a friend whom I love, I see him minus two veils, As I know my friend here below, he and I are both veiled. I loved him when on earth; but when later after death I enter the Heaven World, then I shall see him minus two veils, and he will reveal to me certain attributes of himself.

Hey hey it’s the begging bit: if you like what you hear, do us a super solid and give us five stars on iTunes! Cheers, love you!

To  make sure you never miss us, subscribe to Diane on iTunes (US or UK), or feed on us thru Twitter and Tumblr. We post new eps of Diane on Wednesdays up at Libsyn and of course you can always listen and chat here on Mindless Ones.

Welcome to Diane… #23

Things fall apart as Rosie takes a week off, leaving Ad, Mark and Bob to explore Episode 21 of Mark Frost and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, also known as ‘Double Play’ – and all without reasonable supervision.

Predictably enough boytime reigns and our #lads look at  this episode through the lens of SUPERVILLAINRY: Leo reasserts his authority over the Johnson house, Ben’s therapy takes a turn for the problematic, and the omens don’t look good for Dick and Andy. Amid the gathering darkness, the old goat and scarlet  woman have decided to adopt a child!

*

He is no longer the pretext for a story: the story itself renders him homage. He can neither be destroyed nor accept modifications. He requires more of others than of himself. He is never completely invisible. His likeness can be seen through his face. His science is more precious than the word. It is not possible to guess it – and no one can doubt its power.

We hope you’re enjoying listening to Diane as much as we are making it. If you’ve got a few moments spare to show us your support we would really appreciate it if you could like, rate or share the podcast among your #skwad. Next episode: We investigate a veil through which you might not see.

Welcome to Diane… #22

Our theme is blackout, as the lights go off and we struggle for consciousness. Major Briggs is unable to recall his time in the woods, Jean Renault prays that the nightmare will end, and Leo Johnson wakes.

Things are happening out there in the dark, ladies and gentlemen.  Let us be your light.

*

The now deceased emperor casually asked Zheng: What is the place of the ruler of mankind, should he unify heaven and earth, should he move the ghosts and spirits, like in the Xiangjing with many binding rules, how shall I govern?

We are having a blast doing Diane and we hope you’re enjoying our efforts, tardy as they may sometimes be… ;-)

If you have a few seconds to spare we would LOVE IT if you could like, rate, share review us etc depending on your preferences – we get good #numbers out of iTunes reviews so if you could write something nice or give us the old 5ive stars that would be wonderful – do this and we will be your best friend/boyfriend.

The Secret History of Twin Peaks

Welcome to this special mini episode of Diane…!

This week Rosie and Bob give their initial reactions to Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks novel, The Secret History of Twin Peaks. Listener, they liked it!

The whole Diane team will be covering The Secret History in MUCH more depth at some point in early 2017. This is just a first impressions kind of thing.

…And please be warned: in a change to our usual policy there be SPOILERS all over the flipping shop here, so proceed with caution unless you and Twin Peaks are very old and familiar friends.

*

The first case assigned to Major Milford for Grudge was mind altering. It came to him from an oblique angle, and his work on it took place over a three-year period , at the end of which the polar axis of UFO investigation would shift yet again…

No desperate begging for reviews and things this week you’ll be pleased to hear. It’s only a minisode after all. Have some admin though:

Subscribe to Diane on iTunes (US or UK), or follow us on Twitter and Tumblr. Find brand new episodes of Diane on Libsyn and of course here on the mighty mighty  Mindless Ones.

Next episode: Err, excuse me mate, can I have the check please? I really mean it this time…
