Saw this article about Sir Terry Pratchett commemorating his knighthood by having a sword forged of meteoric iron, and thought rather wistfully about Andrew and Steven and their current predicament. Sir Terry may be rather twee and precious, but c’mon—METEORIC IRON. That’s the kind of Knight of the Realm you want beside you on the battlements when there’s fucking dragons about, know what I’m sayin’?

PS the cross-emblazoned surcoat on Sir Cliff is a nice touch.

Yeah,I think Cliff is the only one taking things seriously. Though I think Tom means business, just in more of a fightin’ and fuckin’ sort of way.

Good on Terry Pratchett for doing his knighthood properly. Although I would’ve thought what with him being a writer a giant pen would beat a sword because pens are mightier.

Maybe he and Jim Woodring can fight it out, and settle that once and for all…

Is Sir Mick wearing his Stella Street work gear? Is that his Pundland they’re hiding in? I bet Keith feels a right coward for refusing his knightly duty now.

Shit, of course! I thought I just liked the idea of Mick in a shop coat but Stella Street must’ve planted the image there. Oh well. I definitely thought up Elton in a Whitesnake T shirt.
They are in Poundland because “Yes! Everything’s a pound!” If MacGuyver or the A Team were in poundland, imagine what amazing weapons they could create with such a wide variety of goods and it wouldn.t cost the Earth!
Jim Woodring’s giant pen sounds great and indeed mightier than a sword.

I will try and report to y’all with some pics and notes from Jim Woodring’s live Giant-Pen…thing. I don’t know when he’ll’ve mastered it but the show should be in Seattle (where I’m from).

Man, that would be amazing!
