Huh. Best comic of 2012. Huh.
“Something’s coming” – That would be me Dan. That would be me.
Quiet, Illogical volume!
Quite brilliant, Dan. Love it!
[...] * Hooray, new Cindy and Biscuit from Dan White! [...]
Is that a Hounds of Tindalos ref? Up there in the corner…
Nope. But there is a reference to the Ninth Configuration in there.
Albeit through different eyes I could see a connection to Biscuit’s experience chasing the cat. In an altered state the exploration of an underverse.
I do wish Cindy got to hit something, though. ;-)
Unintentional ref to HoT then, ’cause that’s where they come in, the hounds, through the angles. The guy in the story attempts to plaster away all the corners in his house.
I thought I could see a connection to Biscuit’s story too, Smitty, but as I don’t have the comic to hand I can’t unpack it.
I think it’s safe to say both strips indicate that there are some things bigger and scarier than C&B can comprehend.
There’s some foreshadowing there too, but I don’t want to give anything away.
With regards to the corner of the room, that’s based on a proper fever I had as a kid, and when I read Dreans In the Witch House it all made sense…
Aces! Cindy and Biscuit is always a treat. Good Lovecraft vibe, too, intentional or no…
[...] Last night I finally began the rather staggering task of reducing that Google reader count to something manageable, and came across the most wonderful news, the most wonderful comic: Dan White has a new Cindy & Biscuit short strip over at the Mindless Ones blog. [...]
Biscuit is still the best comics dog.
Coming soon: the next C&B adventure – ‘Abducted Again’, which features plenty of hitting…
She’s entering puberty?
