  1. Daniel Says:

Hi. A few of these stories were collected in a elseworld anthology with a Green Lantern Batman on the cover. That story and a few others in it are pretty bad but the holy terror you mentioned was interesting though Gordon’s comment on how Cromwells reformation was “tolerant and kind” made me laugh. Theres a painted story with Batman and Houdini called :The Devils Workshop that is great and has Howard Chaykin as one of the writers along with John Francis Moore. I didn’t sense any of Chaykins influence and was surprised when I looked it up. The story actually deals more with Houdini’s life and Batman is more of a supporting character. The other Chaykin story:Dark Allegiances has Batman and Catwoman saving hitler and is terrible. Theres another painted story: Castle of the Bat thats a Frankenstein and Man-Bat mash up thats a lot of fun too. The Robin 3000 story I enjoyed the most and wish it could have been finished. Oh theres also a wild west story: The Blue the grey and the bat which is forgettable and a fantasy Batman and Joker story called :The Wild, which is 92 pages long and was the weakest story in the collection. The Green Lantern story : In Darkest Knight just feels like a set up for a series that never happened and its just Batman fighting Sinestro and him getting away over and over. Sorry for the long comment but I haven’t heard anyone talk about some of these elseworld stories and it was great to hear your thought and recommendations on them. Thanks for all the episodes
