The Defense Mechanism Cynic in me fears the worst, but the Loves Twin Peaks So Much part of me is actually rather excited. I am wondering if this is how my pals who were overjoyed by the idea of a new Pixies album felt.
I don’t get this fears the worst thing at all. The worst that can happen is that it’ll be bad Twin peaks. We’ve been there and done that and lived to tell the tale.
The best that can happen is that it’ll be fucking awesome. Given that we’re talking about 9 episodes directed by David Lynch and written by the Lynch and Frost dream team for a channel that’ll basically let them do whatever they want, I’m thinking the latter possibility is far more likely.

Ha, true!
Given that I’ve never actively disliked anything Lynch has created, and have often completely loved it, you are correct, I should be looking forward to this! And I am. The nega-gravito particlons of the internet just drag me down and add 25% cynicism to anything I type.
I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a Lynch joint either, although On The Air (another Lynch Frost collab) didn’t exactly grab me, it must be said.
Might even write a post about why Twin Peaks coming back is the very best news.
