    Hi hi!

Alan Moore speaks of Mozz for (from what I know) the first time.

    http://www.3ammagazine.com/3am/boy-from-the-boroughs/

There are very few times when you get to see two creators so equal and so different, so close and so faraway, in such synchrony but different enough in precise ways so they’d complete each other perfectly (Moore can explain it and bring it back to light as far as one can – Morrison can show you & make you dance it; Morrison musn´t restrict himself in his mind-the-gap jazz – while Moore cannot allow himself to lose himself or his clockwork sobriety)… The sort where people will look back and think “why the fuck didn’t these two fuckers ever worked together?” every time they read any of them.

    Cretins.

  4. Zom Says:

Yeah, we’ve read that. Interesting, innit? Specially that stuff about recommending Moz to Berger

  5. Teethbeard Says:

No, I didn’t catch that. I assumed he meant “only because of the spotlight I received he was noticed”/ “I initiated the batch” or something like that (maybe slightly less dickish in my head since I’m a overtly forgiving fanboy idiot).

But if that’s true, Morrison should bridge up and apologize (fuck, even if it’s not true and Moore is a little diva prick – that wouldn’t make Moz the bigger man, but the biggest) BECAUSE I NEED TO SEE THEIR BEAUTIFUL BRAINS FUCKING!

    BRAIN’S ASSCRACK TO BRAIN’S ASSCRACK!
    ))((

    What a wonderful vision

I am going to listen to this, while wearing a skirt and drawing a picture of a goat for a club flyer. I feel I am probably in the right ‘place’ for hearing stuff about 2000AD?

    I do enjoy a saturday.

  8. Thrills Says:

For some reason, I never really believed the new Dredd film’d actually go ahead, and promptly forgot all about it. Pretty chuffed to hear it’s coming along well? THARG WOULDN’T LIE.

Those 2000AD folks all sound thoroughly decent. New McCarthy Dredd stuff? That is very good news.

  9. Gary Lactus Says:

I personally don’t think a Dredd film can work, the world is too big and varied and downright visually impossible to recreate.

New McCarthy Dredd looked good, though drawn in his recent, more functional style. Don’t expect the crazy background detail and intricate character design of old.

  10. Thrills Says:

I’ve got a massive ‘thing’ for McCarthy’s current style (if that means his Spidey/Doc Strange style?), so I’m happy with that. I think even his most ‘basic’ stuff positively drips with inspiration. Plus, it glows now!

Hopefully, the Dredd movie will at the very least be a curiosity. Though perhaps The Fifth Element’s as close to a Dredd-verse film as I’ve seen, and I can’t imagine a Dredd film being as pleasantly whimsical or ‘pop’ as that, just due to what a studio would demand from a Dredd film.

  11. The Beast Must Die Says:

    + ROBOCOP.

  12. Thrills Says:

    Good call!
